NORTH COUNTRY QUAD SERIES FUND FACTS
(A.K.A NCQS FUND)
Our Mission: To promote sustainability, consistency and support in the health and wellness of the North Central Massachusetts community by making fitness and wellness an integrated and visible entity of our community. The NCQS fund financially supports local student athlete’s extracurricular pursuits as a right to their overall education, health and development. The NCQS connects community members and businesses by their shared commitment to health, fitness, wellness and improving the North Central Massachusetts Community.
Who We Are:
The North Country
QuadSeries Fund has been conceptualized and formed by members of the North Central business community with the support of community volunteers. Fitness Concepts, Gardner Ale House,
and Salvadore Auto Group have come together with a goal of eliminating the burden of user fees for the local student athlete community.
Funding: The NCQS fund is the sole beneficiary of the North Country Quad Series (NCQS). The NCQS is comprised of four 5K races in North Central Massachusetts. The races in the Greater Gardner Area, highlight the spirit and beauty of the North Country of Massachusetts. Sponsors for the Series provide the financial resources to make the Series a successful fund raiser for the NCQS Fund. Additional private donations are also made.
Distribution: NCQS Fund works in concert
with local public school athletic boosters to identify athletes in need of user fee payment. Financial support is given through the athletic booster to specifically fund the identified
athletes participation in their desired sport activity.
Identifying the Booster: NCQS understands that the need for financial support to eliminate the burden of user fees is great. In order to allocate funding throughout North Central Massachusetts, NCQS offers the opportunity to school districts to increase the funds available to them by directly participating in the series or assisting in a volunteer capacity throughout the series. The booster/school with the highest representation of participation by percentage in the Series events is allocated a higher percentage of the available NCQS Funds. All requests are considered as funding allows. Note:Funds donated to a specified booster will be allocated to that booster exclusively.
To Participate: Eligiblity for NCQS funding can be initiated through contact by the director of the school athletic booster to the NCQS Fund Committee.
